My name is Rachel Peterson and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, having graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic with my Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2013. I have been working as a primary health care provider across the province for the past twelve years, and found my dream job at the Central Butte Dental Clinic, joining their team in 2016. I am passionate about working rurally in the preventative health care sector and am very proud to offer the service of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy for the benefit of our patients and community! In 2023, I was fortunate enough to take additional training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where our team learned more about physiological dentistry and the way it could help our patients. I knew Myofunctional Therapy was something I wanted to learn more about and went on to take the Myofunctional Therapy Program at the RDHU Training Facility in Burlington, Ontario. Training in Myofunctional Therapy has provided me with a deeper understanding of the root causes of many issues I see everyday with my patients and until now, haven’t been able to address. I am excited and dedicated to provide the most comprehensive care possible and look forward to helping patients achieve their therapy goals.
